NEW YORK: The fire department of New York says one person is dead and two others are seriously injured following a crane collapse in Lower Manhattan.
The accident was reported around 8.25am on Friday in the Tribeca neighborhood. The crane landed across several parked cars, smashing their roofs.
The collapsed metal lattice landed across an intersection and stretched much of a block.
